On the afternoon of January 30, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government convened a city-wide conference on manufacturing development, rallying officials and residents across the city to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on the strategy for building a manufacturing powerhouse. They pledged to firmly advance the path of establishing the city through industry and strengthening it via manufacturing, steadily pushing forward the three-year initiative aimed at doubling industrial growth. The conference also emphasized efforts to create a premier hub for industrial development, injecting strong momentum into Nantong's new journey toward fully advancing Chinese-style modernization.

They resolved to firmly pursue the path of establishing the city through industry and strengthening it via manufacturing, steadily advancing the three-year Action Plan for Doubling Industrial Growth, and focusing efforts on creating a premier hub for industrial development—thus injecting strong momentum into the comprehensive advancement of Nantong’s new practices in Chinese-style modernization.

　　Wu Xinming, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, put forward requirements for strengthening manufacturing-related work. Huang Weidong, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC; Zhuang Zhongqiu, Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group; attended the meeting. Shen Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, read out relevant documents from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as well as corresponding decisions made by the Municipal Party Committee and Government. President Shi Lei was invited to attend the conference.

　　At the meeting, Tongfu Microelectronics was honored as a manufacturing enterprise contributing over 100 million yuan in taxes to the city, an advanced enterprise for stabilizing foreign trade efforts across the city, and a leading unit recognized for its intelligent transformation and digitalization initiatives throughout the city.
