On the morning of April 22, the union and the Badminton Association jointly hosted the 2023 Spring Badminton Tournament at Xin Yu Sports Hall.
During the match, many players continuously executed powerful smashes and actively defended, prompting spectators nearby to occasionally shout "Great shot!" and cheer them on. Some players shook their heads in disappointment after a ball went out of bounds; others expressed regret over their lack of seamless teamwork. Meanwhile, one player remarked, "It's actually nice to get a bit sweaty—these kinds of cultural and sports events should be organized more often."
After nearly two hours of intense competition, the Surface Treatment Center's Ji Mingrong and A3 Branch's Jin Jianfeng claimed the men's doubles championship; the A2 Branch's Wang Wei and Zhang Jianfeng finished as runners-up in the men's doubles event. Meanwhile, Lei Shuixiang and Dai Xiaolong from the T2 Branch, along with Zhang Wei from the General Affairs Branch and Wang Yun from the Factory Management Center Branch, tied for third place in the men's doubles. In the women's singles, She Lian from the A3 Branch emerged victorious, while Wang Cheng from the Department Branch secured the silver medal. Chen Xiaoli from the Factory Management Center Branch and Chen Liuyan from the A2 Branch shared the bronze medal position.
After the match, the union and the badminton association presented awards to all participating players.
