On the evening of July 20, the semifinals and final of the 2020 3-on-3 basketball tournament—jointly organized by Tongfu Microelectronics Union and the Employee Basketball Association—were held as scheduled at the Vog Fitness Center basketball court. The first semifinal match pitted the Maimang Team against the A3 Little Tankers Team. Before the game, two key players from the A3 Little Tankers were sidelined due to injuries, leaving the team with just three players available to compete out of their original five-member roster. Meanwhile, the Maimang Team arrived fully prepared, boasting a strong lineup and undeniable实力. Although the A3 Little Tankers faced a challenging situation and were widely considered underdogs in advancing further, they refused to give up until the very end. Despite being eliminated in the match, the three A3 Little Tankers gave it their all, playing every minute of the game. Their relentless determination not only showcased their unwavering spirit but also reminded everyone that in the world of basketball, you may be defeated—but you’ll never surrender!

The second semifinal match unfolded between "Lao Pao'er" and "Xiao Gua Chigaizi." Both teams remained undefeated throughout the group stage, setting up a clash of titans that was bound to be fiercely competitive. Throughout the game, players from both sides battled relentlessly—dueling for position, spinning sharply, engaging in intense physical confrontations, and even taking falls as they collided head-on. The sheer intensity of the matchup kept the score tightly locked, delivering an electrifying spectacle for everyone watching. In the end, Lao Pao'er, worn down by the relentless battle, succumbed to the passage of time. Yet these seasoned veterans, all born in the '80s, refused to admit defeat. "We'll keep training hard," they vowed, "and prove once again next year that in the basketball world, we '80s kids still have what it takes!"

At 9 p.m., the final match kicked off between Team Maicang and Team Xiaogua Eating Sunflower Seeds. Both teams have four members who are also part of the company basketball team, so they know each other very well—making it easy to imagine how thrilling and challenging the game will be.

In the first three minutes of the final, suffocating defense kept both teams shooting poorly—neither side managed to score until Zhao Cunfu, the center for the Ma Mang team, powerfully drove past the smaller center from the Xiao Gua team, creating space despite the tight defensive pressure. Just as the referee’s whistle blew and the ball swished through the net for a "2+1," the scoring barrage officially began. But the Xiao Gua team wasn’t about to back down. Their top scorer, Xu Dongdong—a former participant in the "Nantong Three-Point Contest Top 32"—found himself locked in a relentless, perimeter-style matchup against his former teammate from an earlier season, Ding Xiaofei. Leveraging a well-timed screen from a teammate, Xu maneuvered into a tiny yet open window and confidently drained a clutch three-pointer, sparking an eruption of cheers from the crowd. And so it went—point by point—as the lead remained razor-thin, with neither team able to pull away decisively.

In the latter part of the game, the Little Melon team once again ran into physical exhaustion issues, leading to numerous defensive lapses. It was at this critical moment that key players Zhao Cunfu and Wang Cheng from the Ma Mang team seized their opportunity—driving aggressively to the basket while also hitting perimeter shots—and steadily piled up points, quickly extending their lead. In the final moments, Little Melon attempted several three-pointers but failed to convert, ultimately falling short and suffering a heartbreaking defeat! In the end, Ma Mang emerged as the well-deserved champions of this 3-on-3 basketball tournament, with Zhao Cunfu from Ma Mang claiming the MVP title.

This time in the 3-on-3 basketball match, Tongfu's basketball enthusiasts fully demonstrated their unwavering spirit of never giving up, never backing down, and refusing to admit defeat. With such a vibrant new generation of players in Tongfu—brave, determined, and ready to fight—they’re sure to have an exciting future ahead!!!
